Mechanical Construction
The ceiling tile mounting box and the two retaining rings are made of flame retardant polycarbonate V-0 rated to UL 94 which is particularly suitable for electrical applications and is approved by Underwriters Laboratories.

Additional Information:

The mounting box is available with one of two different sized retaining rings, one for use with Apollo detector bases (part no 45681-309) and another for sounder bases (part no 45681-310).

Product Information:

A separate back box is not required as it forms part of the ceiling mounting box.
The mounting box can be used with tiles up to 25mm thick. Moulded springs on the back of the product automatically adjust to the tile's thickness while plastic blades imbed into the back of the tile to secure it in position.
The mounting box is for use with all Apollo detector and sounder bases with the exception of the Intelligent Base Sounder for use with Isolating Base (part no 45681-266) and the 20D Isolating Base (part no 45681-321).
